Tremendous time-line for a truly exceptional artist. Dad forced me to take piano lessons for about four years. I tried, just didn't have the ear for it and only wanted to get outside. Just another example of how all of us are born and/or very early grow so differently. This is amazing:
November 1968 - With a repertoire of more than 600 songs, Flack played 42 of them for Atlantic producer, Joel Dorn, in three hours. She went into the studio and laid down some 39 song demos over nine hours.

Flack's accomplishments were celebrated during the historical five-hour VH-1 program, "The 100 Greatest Women of Rock & Roll." She ranked highly, sharing the company of Tina Turner, Aretha Franklin, Madonna, Alanis Morissette and several other trail-blazing female artists.
