“ People don't hang around stock boards unless there is something tangible in it for themselves, period.”

For me it’s the satisfaction of defeating pumper clowns in a battle of wits, although by and large your community of pumpers are unarmed in that particular battle.

And there’s always the possibility of an SEC whistleblower award when you highlight a particularly egregious scam using your own specialist knowledge.

Maybe that’s happened already?

Some people do actually get a kick out of discussing financial information without actually making any money for it. It’s not dissimilar to people hanging out discussing literally anything else that interests them without financial gain. People enjoy talking about their interests.

I post on stock boards, and have $0 financial interest. Not sure what you mean by "tangible". But I don't "hang around" on boards, if that's even possible.

People don't hang around stock boards unless there is something tangible in it for themselves, period. And I don't mean just for self satisfaction.

So. Do you watch television? Play golf or some other sport? Spend time with your kids, if you have any? I could naturally add many more examples.

Does any of that generate "tangible benefits" for you?
