I think the hardest part of this to traverse is realizing that what was considered civil previously is kind of asking a lot in today's modern social media world. But, it is what it is and as with all change, we adapt or remove ourselves.
There will certainly be difficulties in making these adjustments. And, no one here at Admin will begrudge anyone who disagrees or doesn't want to participate. We understand and respect the choices we all have to make. :)
I think, essentially, what we’re going for for is maintaining civil discourse while not completely squashing the occasional heat of natural human interaction.
It’s simple - when I, as a board mod, am not sure whether a post should be deleted, rather than deleting it for whatever reason I just submit a TOS and leave it up to an Admin mod…
I see this as 2 different issues. For premium boards if a post violates the Ibox then IMO the mod can delete the post.
For free boards it is where it gets complicated. Deletions are entirely subjective so my advice is stay in your lane.
