I'm more confused now than ever. I still believe that to qualify for the dividend, you had to be a shareholder of record at the close of business on 12/01/06. I believe that 12/01/06, in effect, became the ex-dividend date.
I wouldn't be the least ashamed of being wrong, as the more you read, the more you can't understand.

If I read that correctly, it's a great tool for rewarding shareholders and preventing flipping. Interesting, but still a little confused. Need to be a holder of record from 12/1/06 until payment (approx. 2 months in this case)? Anyone have stock dividends prior to USSE, please respond. Thanks.

Let's give them a little time before we worry about the dividend....I have no doubts whatsoever that we will get it....z
