College is not for everyone. If you get a meaningless degree that doesn’t have a future in the work place and spend $100k that’s your problem.
Perhaps degrees should cost different amounts of $$ based on what you can do with it as a profession. Perhaps people should stop attending high priced schools and force their hand. Irregardless, the issue will never go away until the problem is addressed. .
Community college can get you the same result. A 4 year psychology degree is worthless unless you go to grad school. History major? Haha good luck with that one. Many others like that are high cost nonsense.
I’m not paying for someone who made a choice that their debt can’t be paid back because they went to a high cost school.
Lieden got knocked down in his attempt to win votes. It’s simple. Perhaps he should focus on the problem with college costs and not the hand outs to win votes.
College debt has tripled in 15 years and will not stop. People who make choices need to accept what they did. Do some research.
