CAT Folks, CAT is in a mark-up phase.
Continuing it's upswing started last week.
While consumer discretionary spending may be muzzled, industrial construction is booming, following the huge Democratic spending of two years ago. It takes time for that $$ to wind through government approvals before dirt can be turned over.
I am having an unexpected great day. I decided I'd look for a play, since the ADBE train left the station while I was in the terminal store, buying a sandwich. Darn, I thought- I have got to make some of that up.
I was too late for a good morning mover- or so I thought. So I checked our board for ideas and landed on DG's posting of the top movers in the DOW - safe territory. Went with the leading riser, CAT, and only hoped for $2.00. I'm up $3.26 a share at recent look and my overall account was up 4.05%. That's 1,000% per annum!
That's why this is so much fun and instructive about the world around us and ourselves.
I'm keeping an eye on ADBE. If it breaks below 470, I could switch over to it.
