Trumpty did indeed have clearance to READ classified documents. That PRIVILEGE did not extend to taking them home after he left office. Or to showing them to people--including representatives of foreign powers--while he was president.
In his post-presidential years, he's said quite literally that those documents--any and all classified documents--were HIS personal possessions. In an interview, Hannity tried to cut him all kinds of slack: "Hey, I know you, you wouldn't just keep classified documents, and show them to people without clearance!"
Trumpty replied, "Of course I would!! I COULD!! They're MINE!!!"
Hannity was visibly appalled.
So as for you, Hap, are you returning to your childhood? Do you want the opportunity to vote once again for a four-year-old?
