The patent protects the IP from being used by competitors, the bankruptcy protects the IP as an asset.
With the position they put themselves in how can they possibly get a good offer? They announced to the world nobody was interested in them! They also got delisted from the NASDAQ and are now officially an OTC pink sheet stock with ZERO chance of raising money to continue operations……oh and BTW they licensed the best of their IP to Medtronic with no future payments or royalties.
