Sure makes you wonder about the combination study of Panzem NCD with Avastin in metastatic carcinoid tumors. Didn't Burns convienently skip it in his last presentation?
From what I understand, the trial is currently still enrolling.
If they started enrolling immediately (May 2006), we could have some interim trial results.
I'd love to see CELG and DNA get in to a bidding war for Entremed..... Some pretty deep pockets.
IMO, anything that Avastin can do, Avastin and Panzem can do better. Anyone know if there was any mention of posterior leukoencephalopathy syndrome in the Avastin-Glioma study?
I would still suggest giving Panzem before Avastin but like the Panzem/Velcade study showed the HIF-1a inhibition results may be only slightly improved but still improved.
