I asked the surgeon who installed my IOL's about DED. He told me that DED has always been a problem but its only recently that there are effective treatments available. He is more interested in screening because there are good treatments available now. He said that in the past he only addressed DED if a patient advised an issue because he didn't have a good med to offer.
That is a solid observation. The booth is near the entry doors just inside the closest entry door to the registration desk. People will have multiple opportunities to pass by the booth during the 3 days as they exit to take the escalators up to the breakout rooms and class rooms on the second floor and return to the exhibit hall between sessions.
