The chat is useful as i don't know if i've had this thought before: One problem i have with Chomsky and Hedges and other anarchist-types is that they feed the disenchantment with the systems we have. And the systems we have are the best we have developed over 100s of years. That's a negative i see in their approach. So in them. They are so dark, so critical, they don't only feed healthy skepticism but they feed the extreme. The unhealthy level. Question is does their positive outweigh their negative. I don't know.
Jesus Christ's ideas would have come in part at least from others he read and heard. They didn't come from the sky, that's for sure. I mention him here because one of the things you said about Hedges and Chomsky is that they have good ideas. Well, so did Jesus and look where that's got us.
I could never have achieved what those guys have. Always harbored too many doubts. In that
regard, something like you i suspect. Too much gets lost in memory lacking recall now too.
