Like one of our new devices, for whatever reason, they become so overloaded, with too much input, conflicting commands, maybe lack of updates, it just no longer works...And no matter what you try to fix it, it either has no effect or makes it worse.........it continues to malfunction over and over again.....
"No offence but that was a little simplistic and condemnatory. If you included the entire paragraph it would have answered your quiry:"
No offence taken. Your other sentence there though really does suggest a paragraph related to the post of mine you just replied to whereas in fact it seems you jumped to a much earlier post in which i included the link below.
"Chomsky is often described as one of the best-known figures of the American Left, although he doesn't agree with the usage of the term. He has described himself as a "fellow traveller" to the anarchist tradition, and refers to himself as a libertarian socialist, a political philosophy he summarizes as challenging all forms of authority and attempting to eliminate them if they are unjustified for which the burden of proof is solely upon those who attempt to exert power. He identifies with the labor-oriented anarcho-syndicalist current of anarchism in particular cases, and is a member of the Industrial Workers of the World. He also exhibits some favor for the libertarian socialist vision of participatory economics,[2] himself being a member of the Interim Committee for the International Organization for a Participatory Society.[3]
He believes that libertarian socialist values exemplify the rational and morally consistent extension of original unreconstructed classical liberal and radical humanist ideas in an industrial context.[4]" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Political_positions_of_Noam_Chomsky
I just believe that many - at least a good number - of the politicians anarchists as Chomsky and Hedges, and so many others chose to condemn from without, feel the same way about inequities and injustices as the anarchists feel. .
"Obviously, puts his time into action with various organizations that I think you would agree would help put back some of the balance regarding labor rights and participation in peoples lives in a more livable society."
Obviously he does. And Hedges actually to his credit tried to enter politics once ..
-- On May 27, 2020, Hedges announced that he would run as a Green Party candidate in New Jersey's 12th congressional district for the 2020 elections. After being informed the following day that running for office would conflict with FCC fairness doctrine rules because he was at that time hosting the nationally broadcast RT America television show On Contact, Hedges decided not to pursue office in order to keep hosting the show. .. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chris_Hedges#Campaigns --
He chose to run his program on the Russian tv network instead. Earlier in there it is said he didn't understand what RT was:
-- On Contact (2016–2022)
Hedges began hosting the television show On Contact for the Russian-government owned network RT America in June 2016. Hedges, initially unfamiliar with the network, was approached to make a show by RT America president Mikhail "Misha" Solodovnikov, who personally guaranteed Hedges' editorial independence.[3] .. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chris_Hedges#On_Contact_(2016%E2%80%932022) --
Again, my off the top stated position there was simply that i wondered whether or not it might be easier to be an anarchist standing outside the system than it would be to try to affect change from within.
