OMG? That does explain the words that preceded that! I do agree that everyone should be buying the gift here and I'm LOVING the Potential here!.
Most equity investors are thrilled to be lucky as we are to get these secondary offering gifts time after time.

Perhaps in order to see that a competive product doesn't see the light of day or delays their product launch in time for....

The stock market is full of instances where those who stand to gain/lose out in some manner take out/manipulate/weaken the competitive threat(s).

What's millions (in losses) when billions are at stake? All comes down to the overall ROI of their portfolio which may certainly involve manipulating a stock price. The world is corrupt beyond imagination or competitive, however you want to inturpret.

Please forgive me for being a conspiracy theorist as I've had a few years to think about the other possibilities... and anything is possible.

Spectra 7 is up against some huge competitors that don't want to see their sales pipeline disrupted.

Where's that cure for cancer? How about Tesla's promise for free energy for everyone? How bout an 80% reduction in power consumption for data centers?

As a long time investor I'll hold out until the end knowing that anything is possible and that the chances of Spectra 7 hitting a homerun... well history tells us that what's best doesn't always rise to the top for any number or reasons.

It's a crapshoot across the board.
