Sorry, I see that picture, and cringe. I have still not recovered from that Nashville shooting. I could not imagine any parent losing their nine-year-old child to gun violence at a private school that they have paid good money to attend.
When that news broke, I thought about neighbors of many years. They moved to Nashville to be with family a few years ago. Their children have grown, and the son is a teacher at a private school in the Nashville area. He did teach at that school but had left to accept another position in another school. I just did not know at the time. Those shooting are in the past, but for those families, they are changed forever. You just do not bounce back. I know if it happened to my family, my life would be broken.
But I am watching Tennessee just ignore that shooting, and all of the other shootings that take place every day, every week, and remind everyone certain politicians are governing this state. The old boy network of Republicans who are in control in Nashville are learning that something has changed. Georgia has turned Blue in the last election, if Republicans do not change, this state will start the process of turning Blue. People in this state are mad, and if Governor Lee thinks he can get this newest gun law passed that allows everyone to bring their guns on the campuses of Universities in Tennessee. The discussion, is why ? That Gun Bill is back on hold for another week, Governor Lee is getting some pushback.
