LOL I never went as far to get booted from Sunday School, but I had my moments. My folks weren't religious but my relatives were. We ran the gambit from devout Catholic to snake handling Baptists and I tried it all out.
I only went as a young guy to get out of the house to hang with my buddies and ogle the girls. My parents were not involved in any of that. If they would have seen what we were up to at Xmas midnight masses they would have killed me.
The Catholic high school I wound up in was only because it was free with my scholarship and my old man really pushed for it. LOL I was supposed to come out of there all prim, proper and primed for an ivy league education and I turned into a spiteful young lawbreaker who earned his extra dough, gambling on the golf course, the pool halls, the dart boards, the bowling alleys and slinging dope at night.
I worked steady jobs too, but the real money was in the illegal stuff. I tried man, I got clean, got a good job, left that life behind, married a woman I loved and had three LLC's working around the clock but now I'm back here trying to figure out why I just didn't keep up scamming people. I was good at it, though most all of the bad guys I used to run with are dead or in prison so there's that to fall back on.
I keep feeling sorry and caring more for others than I do for myself. I got soft.... I blame the church ;-)
