Mr. Reich was a little too nice at the end there. He made it sound like the economic elite didn't seem to know that they were doing anything wrong. Of course the elite are fully aware of what they are doing and it doesn't include citizen well being. Only sucking the life out of people. He had a chance to say it as it really is. But chose a safe landing. Good article, weak finish.
The most important political competition over the next decades will not be between the right and left, or between Republicans and Democrats. It will be between a majority of Americans who have been losing ground, and an economic elite that refuses to recognize or respond to its growing distress.
