And it has been continually pointed out to you that your conservatives are the parties that teachers are less likely to vote for.

One example is that conservatives were just booted in NSW..

Your posts about teachers are from 2000 miles away from your safe space? LOL I date a teacher of third and fourth graders and help her with stuff like classroom decorations and reading overflow on her grading papers. I love the stuff the little kids come up with nowadays, some of it leaves me hysterically laughing but other things can be really dark.

I leave it up to her because she knows better than me. I'm just there to flag shit that she might miss and try to get her work done quicker so we can kick back and enjoy some time alone on a day that she's supposed to be off her job. I really have fun with the classroom though. I got a few teachers on board with me, male and female.

My old haunts at office buildings also involves tearing it down, and most of the stuff goes in the trash unless we want to paw it. Dry erase boards are a big hit especially when we already hung the big ones and can cut the rest of them up into child size pieces so they can run around like little Katie Porters. There's no shortage of pencils or pens, or post it notes either. We used to try to donate a lot of the furniture too but places are overstocked now and can't accept it, though that's more adult oriented.

I stay in touch with my old brothers and sisters since I got out so I never know what's coming down the pipe until the phone rings.

LOL my break room at the zoo has never been so comfy. A bunch of 2000 dollar slightly used office chairs and a conference table that I couldn't even guess what the price tag was originally. Maybe 25 or 30 k? Inlayed birch with oak and some purple brazilian stuff over a walnut base. We treat it like shit though so it's losing value every day. It didn't cost a thing and was going to a landfill anyway so who are we to judge someone else's tax write off?

I've made some kick ass trim from some solid 1"x 12" oak that I stashed years ago from a job we ripped up. It was top caps on half walls before metal cubicles became a thing. I had a couple thousand linear feet of that stuff and my ex lost her mind when I brought it home and told her it needed to be in the garage.

I still have a couple hundred left over but I can't bring myself around to make the picnic table that I wanted. The shit is probably 40 to 100 dollars a board foot because you can't find solid oak that thick anymore. I probably blew 20% of it into dust between the table saw, planer and router but you bet your happy ass that the houses I rehabbed along with my own have one of a kind trim that will last longer than the current owners, including me.

I teach too, but it's at the carpenter school and I just show young men and women how to use tools to prep a door and put hardware on it. Table saws to make templates, routers, drills, taps and light welding, then install the lock or panic bar, closer, stops, concealed or continuous hinges or top and bottom pivots.... Just basic shit that will pass a fire inspection when we are done. We're past the whole CRT thing and drag story time hasn't been offered yet, though we joke that it would make the 30 hour OSHA class wayyy more interesting and keep some motherfuckers awake for the presentations.

I have little or no tolerance for smart asses because I am one on my own but if anyone else would like to take the reigns I'm all for it. We're always looking for a new trick that makes things go faster without risking getting hurt or fucking up the job. I tell my lads and lassies that we can do it fast or we can do it right and right always wins over fast. If you installed a hundred closers to the other person's thirty by skipping a step here and there it might look good on that day but if it falls off and injures someone or sod forbid doesn't function properly in an emergency then the paybacks are a bitch.

I get my 12 hours in weekly so I can keep up my card which is cool because I wasn't sure what I was going to do after I got hurt the last time. It's not enough hours to get insurance but the zoo will be kicking in here soon and it's a different union albeit still considered a carpenter. Not sure where I'm headed because I became spoiled and absolutely hate working outside unless my ass is hanging off a high rise but I'll go from here and play the hand that I'm dealt.

Being around my old friends at the school is pushing me to jump back in but I want to be sure that I'm 100%. I can't run work unless it's my own because I can't sit still and go to meetings be on the phone all day. I need to be hands on and worry about the task, not what the electrician is crying about to the GC

your opinion as you might already know, means shit to me. You might as well be in the back of the crowd standing on top of a garbage can and chirping like a bird for all I care. It might get you some looks from the cheap (cheep) seats but it doesn't last dude. Most eyes are front and center.

enjoy your misery... you can blame me anytime you like. I probably deserve it because I'm so stupid that I'm just a tool for all of the people that I probably shouldn't care about or want to work side by side with. Crazy libtard I am.
