I will also say that community colleges need to be normalized as a viable option for kids without any stigma attached to them, both from a social and from a job prospects viewpoints.
Saying you went to a cc is like saying you have a terminal illness so kids feel like they have to pay out the ass for that top tier university in order to achieve anything in life, which according to the "job creators" is mostly true.
Kids should be told that they don't have to go to an ivy league school. And that's the problem. The ranking of the schools and the prestige which surrounds the fetishization of the top tier is complete nonsense.
