You = jug. Me = pitcher. We have full pitchers and half pitchers.

Reminds me of an old long time still told story of my 4 year older sister back in our high school and college days. I was 1 year out of high school and video taping my sisters softball team with my first 1/2 inch tape (think VHS) super duper Panasonic portable video cam. (also part time ass er assistant coach) These needed the recorder attached to it.

She was and is a true athlete at anything. Throwing and hitting things was her forte. Anyways, they won the league and we all went to a local pub in the area. I had the hots for half the team.

Hours into partying and drinking, I'm sitting next to her and the barmaid was bringing large heavy glass pitchers to the tables all night and we were slinging those for hours. Unbeknownst to sister someone brought a thin plastic pitcher half full and she grabbed it expecting the weight but ended up flinging the beer over her shoulder like a superstitious person with salt. She emptied the beer directly behind her on team mates and anyone else in the circle of the fling. Even if it was the first 10 minutes of the night it still would have been hilarious. She said she was lucky she didn't slam herself in the face.

It's such a nothing thing but I've never gotten it out of my memory.

Ah man, no bills, no stress job and a car that worked.

Remember:

You cannot buy beer

You can only rent it

I understand you are well on your way with your recovery. In my younger days I could enjoy a nice cold glass of beer.

I also learned that when I was restricted to my two oxycodone pills each day, that I would sip my Amaretto to help those pill last just wee bit longer.

Years later I can still enjoy my Amaretto, the beer just ran through me, and I found myself staying close to the bathroom.

Just passing on my thoughts. I am so happy that you are enjoying your recovery. They call it convalescing, may yours be as long as you like.
