Everything you say can very well be true, but one thing that doesn't make sense is why they would stack the ask if they wanted out? There has to be more to it than lenders wanting to dump.
They could strategically attract more buyers if the ask size was much lower. So there doesn't seem to be any strategy going on what so ever. They aren't that ignorant.
