Wow, that's some accountability penalty for what should be serious lawyer misconduct. Signing a document saying she had pushed misinformation for months in the face of all the contrary evidence available. And being hit with a hefty $224!!. How many minutes would it take for her to earn that.

"Ellis signed a stipulation stating that several comments she made about the 2020 election violated professional ethics rules barring reckless, knowing or intentional misrepresentations by attorneys, according to documents posted by Colorado’s Office of Attorney Regulation Counsel. As part of the stipulation, Ellis agrees to pay $224."
[...]
Michael Melito, an attorney for Ellis, told CNN in a statement, “My client remains a practicing attorney in good standing in the State of Colorado. In a very heated political climate, we have secured that correct outcome.”

A pair acting as improvised delivery drivers in Queensland who attempted to transport a television in the back of their car, in hindsight, probably wished they simply paid for a professional after copping a combined $782 fine.
[...]
There is a penalty of up to $2,200 that a court can impose to a driver of a motor vehicle who fails to wear a seatbelt properly adjusted and fastened if the vehicle is moving or stationary (but not parked), unless reversing (rule 264 Road Rules 2014 (NSW)).

Guessing lawyers get as easy a ride in Australia too.
