Yooo, thank you for sharing the link about how the covid treatment protocol maximized hospitalizations and deaths. But the article primarily focused on remdesivir and dexamethasone.
I totally agree that reliance on these therapeutics caused extended hospitalizations and staggering needless deaths. Even Dale discussed the abysmal performance of these drugs during the Lytham fireside chat.
If you don't know the proven clinical benefit of lenz in treating covid patients by now, then there is just no convincing you.
However, even Humanigen neglected mentioning lenz for covid in the 8-K included as Ex 99.1 of our last 10-Q.
"Humanigen, Inc. (NASDAQ: HGEN) (Humanigen), is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on developing lenzilumab, a first-in-class antibody that binds to and neutralizes granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor. Humanigen is developing lenzilumab as a treatment for chronic myelomonocytic leukemia and acute graft versus host disease. Humanigen is also exploring use of lenzilumab to prevent toxicities associated with CAR-T therapy through investigator-initiated trials. Humanigen is also developing an antibody drug conjugate (ADC) utilizing its EphA-3 targeted monoclonal antibody ifabotuzumab (ifab) for solid tumors. For more information, visit www.humanigen.com and follow Humanigen on Twitter."
But that was clearly an oversight caused by the necessity to have the small, dedicated staff to wear multiple hats. In this case, the Chief Commercial Officer was functioning in an Investor Relations capacity. But I know he is also assisting in things such as the clinical trials and in the Compassionate Use program. And the omission was made up for in the 10-Q.
"The Company continues to support NIH’s further analysis of the data and a global group of leading institutions and research networks has indicated interest in including lenzilumab in their large-scale, multinational studies of COVID-19. Tocilizumab and baricitinib demonstrated mortality benefit following inclusion in REMAP-CAP and RECOVERY, despite having failed to do so in smaller studies."
With the FBI reporting that the covid virus that escaped from Wuhan had been weaponized through gain of function research, I think any large-scale multinational Covid study will be expedited.
