Silicon Valley, home of technology and innovation, just how many millionaires were created thanks to Microsoft, Apple and Google. How many more were created who just invested with them. Now you are upset, or "woke," about American technology and leading the world in being able to almost anything with a smart phone.

Which Party attempts to reform the tax system to make it more equitable, less harmful to the middle class and the lower classes?

Look at the marginal tax rates up until '82 and then '87. The higher the rate the more revenue for government. We've never approached even the 50% rate that pertained before Reagan.

Maybe the Dems should propose 40%-42% with all of the increase sequestered to debt reduction in return for spending cuts that do not touch SS and Medicare? Make no mistake, the cuts the GOP wants cannot be reached without cuts to benefits in either or both of those programs

Look at your graph. When did things change? They changed in 1980. What happened in 1980? One word "Reaganomics" (aka "trickle down economics"). The GOP declared war on Keynesian economics and Roosevelt's new deal programs. Democrats didn't change. They were whipped! From 1980 thru 2018 the GOP held the Presidency (which controls the direction of federal economic and tax policy) for 22 years versus 16 for the Dems. Democrats controlled all three branches for only four years during that stretch and weren't able to reverse the initial 12 year stretch of Reagan and Bush that was fueled by attacks on welfare queens (aka black women), gays (remember the orange juice lady) and baby killing for birth control (aka freedom of choice).

So don't blame Democrats for your prejudices and not keeping you from voting for Republicans.
