#6524 RE: KeithDust2000 #6520

@Keith - Books
Didn't we see a Lenovo AMD design yet? I'm remembering about
something, the same has to be said for Toshiba imho, but your
right, share at these companies tend to go to zero at this
point. But my previous messages fit here too, when you have
0 share, what could you loose? Toshiba lost big time market-
share without AMD. Sony lost imho share too without AMD and
Lenovos progress isn't all that well too - strange, also
without AMD. The players who gained had AMD ... I assume
others will follow. How fast, thats the question - as always.

As said, the biggest point against (business) AMD books was
imho lagging IGP. AMD chipsets near non-existing, we could
nearly forget VIA and/or SIS, Nvidia was keen on desktops
and workstations and ATI did as well near nothing in
the last time. That changed and thats a "big event".
Its a surprise to me, that AMD didn't introduced Mobile 65nm
versions yet - I'm at least not officially aware of these.
Bins in the 2G region shouldn't be a problem overall, but
voltage should go down + some additional benefits from the
process itself. So if 2,2G at 90nm was/is "a max point", they
could imho push to 2,4G with 65nm in the very near timeframe
and towards 2,6G as time goes by.
