15 and 20hr jobs in the 70s with benefits and good conditions, went to places they could get 1hr labor, no benefits, no protection on working conditions and with the new age of environmental awareness, they could also skirt our modern science.......Products didn't get any cheaper but our very top percent has made one hell of a lot of money from it and its not slowing......transferring the wealth

To answer your question Greed caused the inequity, and it always does....People just thought there was a gate keeper to keep the cycle from repeating......They were wrong....
So lets add insult to injury and try and explain it all away,,,,Say its Right to work, forgetting about the Union busting of the past thanks to the corps and repubs, say it competition which is propaganda (the corps themselves created with their actions), show indifference, ignore the facts and go along our merry way......When calls to change things started gaining a national voice, it was met with isolationism, its just bigotry towards others,,,,,,Now lets tout Infrastructure and the chip bill (remember its the big corps that suffered from chip shortages during covid) Better than nothing but a BB in a box car compared to what was lost and its not a major push, its seen as a token to appease,,,,,,Look at the profit made from an IPhone or a pair of tennis shoes....And on,,, We made it a country where only management counts, only they deserve, but that's not working out very well is it...,,If you don't have a college education you are scum (for lack), they should have adapted!! Southern states are over run with cheap labor, corps found away around hiring and pay laws and of course people are bigots for pointing it out and the corps make the big bucks from it.....Its

And you want to talk about tax breaks? Banks and Insurance companies? No, it was just a transfer of wealth from the masses to the few.....And its not like people are working their way up to something they never had, its about dignity and quality of life that was taken away, that's a big distinction not to be underestimated, people worked hard to obtain it......Civil rights is a good parallel, people who have fought hard and still are, but lets take away what they've gained, like women.... Now you may understand a bit of the anger and the working class was quite patient and unheard until the past few years,,,,,Of course people are mad, justifiably so...
Back to politics, money, corporations, and Greed eh and the indifference to it all if it doesn't effect you.....Plus you may have noticed its all had its effect on the state of politics....Corps ran amuck and feel free to call me an anti capitalist for pointing it out.... That's the normal response, corporate propaganda that so many have been suckered into believing, just like "It will be better than before"..............50 yrs later it ain't, I mean isn't.......
