I've already opened up my laptop and could put in a mini-pci
n card if I needed to. At the moment I don't see a need for
that. As far as I can tell, a lot of hotels, cafes, schools,
libraries spent the money to put in B or G and don't care to
spend the money to upgrade again as their current setups
get the job done. Some of these places probably don't want
a bigger coverage area as a larger area would allow people
in adjacent buildings or in parking lots to use their signal.

Now the vast majority of people don't like changing hardware
on laptops so I can see people going for the latest and
greatest but I'm not seeing any kind of rush to N with other
engineers or in the places that I visit. If the price for N
comes down sharply, then it becomes attractive. But we're not
there yet and G is fine for most setups. I consider B barely
acceptable but it can work out if you put enough routers in.
