Yep, lots of time. LOL Your Abbot chair question threw me into a storm tossed ocean. At Point Nemo. A chair with wheels is the only connection i can make to your grocery reference. Will stock up. Even tried urban slang . The op. is scheduled for the day of admission, Feb. 1, and have been told to expect four days in hospital. i have no idea of the rehab yet either. Except for having been told that, plus a chat with my RI USA sister who has had two knees done, she said she had rehab people come to her house for a month or so after each op. Haven't even called my insurance about it yet. On Jan 18 i go to a pre admission meeting. First time ever for one of those. Yep, lots of time.
Just had a call re the pre-admission meet Jan. 18. 9 am. And about 4 hours, she said to expect. Rehab people and others will be there to fill me in on pre and post road ahead. ;-)
They gave me simple pre-op exercises to do, twice a day. I'll be a Stryker .. https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-d&q=styker+total+knee+replacement+ .. guy. A total. I said sure to a request if i would be in a research project to assess relative outcomes between surgeon only and robot assisted ops. Obviously they still have work to do there. Probably will leave hospital Feb. 4-5 on crutches. Tiny tiny possibility just cane.
Post op exercises 3-4 times a day, and will have to go to hospital a couple? times a week for rehab for a time. In hospital social welfare people will visit. First time for that for me. I will shop up some before, then could have shopping help maybe 1-2-3 times after, if required. With house, i told the nurse who was to arrange the social worker help, there would be no need for someone to clean as only basically vacuum my bedroom and stairs, and mop the kitchen floor. And that those all could go some time without doing. One week countdown here starts in two days.
