I was born in 85, so while I technically lived in the 80's, I didn't really experience it. Every decade of time has it's issues. In the 80's inflation was bad, murder rates were shockingly high, and everybody loved rock bands that dressed like women.

Yes, but then you would likely beforehand have had to experience the '70s also.
