Yes, it’s the same thing.

Earnings (600,000,000), Market Cap (6,461,538,462) and P/E (10.77) will be the same split or no split, but post spit my cost per share will be $5/share, my share count will be 1/10th and the share price will be 10x.

Mine_Earnings_Market Cap_Share Count_$/Share
MP_533,000,000_5,740,000,000_176,527,570_$32.52
NB_600,000,000_6,461,538,462_700,000,000_$9.23 (No Split)
NB_600,000,000_6,461,538,462_70,000,000_$92.31 (1:10 Split)

I used MP’s current Price to earnings (P/E) of 10.77 in all three cases. P/E=Share Price/Earnings Per Share

Let’s say I have 1M shares with no split my value will be:
$9.23x1,000,000=$9,230,000

With a 1:10 split my value is still $9,230,000:
$92.30x100,000=$9,230,000

It will be just as easy to get to $90/share with 70,000,000 outstanding shares as to $9 with 700,000,000 outstanding shares.
