This will come eventually, but ATI would have had to redesign all of their assets before making them compatible on an AMD process. ATI currently does not have 2x the engineers to make ports for both TSMC and AMD, so I suspect that if and when AMD gives ATI the ultimatum to make themselves compatible, that it won't be an overnight ordeal. In fact, it could take years before the business conditions are ripe for a transition.
