Sonoran Energy Finishes First Well in the Louisiana Well Programme
DALLAS, Nov 28, 2007 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX/ -- Sonoran Energy, Inc. (Pink Sheets: SNRN), the independent oil and gas exploration and production company, today announced that the first well in its well work-over programme is finished, within budget and ahead of schedule.
This first well is a Salt Water Disposal (SWD) well. The SWD well will be used for salt water disposal in support of production of oil & gas for the next two wells in the programme. The objective of this work was to recover the tubing and inspect it, recover a fish in the hole, clean out sand blocking the perforations, test the injectivity and to re-establish the completion of the well. The well was tested for injectivity at a rate of 14,000 BBLS/D, which was very satisfactory. This should ensure that we have a high yield and reliable long term disposal well.
Ralph Watkins, Sr. VP of Operations said: "I am pleased that this first part of our work-over programme went well and with no incidents. The performance of the rig crew, the supervision and support service contractors were excellent. This gives me a good level of comfort as the rig is being moved over to the first production well. Operations on this well will commence over the next few days."
