yeah, tonsillitis and strep were a regular occurrence for me and my sister when we were kids. I should have learned back then but I didn't. I thought I was invincible but it was like clockwork, every year around Easter we'd be fighting 102 degree fevers and sitting in a tub of ice then again around this time of year.
I played hockey and went outside when I shouldn't have too. One night I scored four goals with a fever only because mom couldn't handle me being a whiny bitch and let me run out of spite. We joke about it now but if I had my own kids, it would probably be a different story.
I don't dare get near the little ones when I'm feeling shitty. My tonsils are a roadmap of scars and sometimes flare up nowadays but it's not a big deal like it used to be.
No problem for that earlier post. You are a good person and should be recognized as such. I try to do what I can too. It hasn't been easy lately but like you, I don't think anyone should go hungry, at least not while I'm alive.
