Actually the escrow have ZERO cost basis.

As we received WMIH first and then COOP, the cost basis for COOP will be the cost of receiving WMIH and indirectly WAMU equities including common and preferred shares. You may show profit or loss on WAMU equities when you sell COOP shares.
