I've worn glasses since I was 4 or 5. My grandfather had a red jacket when I was a kid. The story goes that one day I looked out in the yard and saw a red gas can and said, "Grandpa's here!"

The decision was made to either send me to school on the short bus or try glasses. The jury's still out on whether my folks made the right choice...

Hard to believe I once had a phone attached to the wall. When it rang, I'd pick it up without knowing who was calling. I'm amazed I'm still alive.
