We now wait 3 to 6 months (or 9??) for FDA CLIA Waivers. Will some of the Eye Doctors on the AXIM EYE Board of Advisors PLEASE help AXIM with this FDA CLIA Waiver Approval Process?
Please. The AXIM track record with the FDA is not very good. Oops. Did I say that out loud? Sorry.
What I meant to say is WOW! What a great opportunity once AXIM receives CLIA Waivers for these tests!
Not investment advice. It is much better to buy low and sell high. Good luck to all.
When I got my IOL's last year everything in the process was like a factory operation even with my surgeon being an acclaimed professional with awards and recognition. They had a continuous flow of patients going through a process. I would envision that the initial screening for cataracts or lasik would include this test as part of the process rather than an appointment for just this test. That screening was about a 1/2 hour with the technician and then moved on to tests on automated equipment in the next room for another 1/2 hour and then 15 min with a doctor. I am sure that there will be scenarios where patients come in for testing for other reasons but my vision is that these tests get inserted in the process for these two procedures since we have learned that dry eye disease is an issue for these two procedures and it also would add a revenue bump for the doctors by being able to add an item to their insurance billing for the screening. I see it as pure profit for the doctors because it doesn't really take any more of their time than they are already spending with the patient and the 10 minutes for the test to develop is not wasted because they are doing other screening during that interval.
