Non-Asian patients have a higher seroconversion rate than Asian patients for a given baseline level of HBsAg. Also, the seroconversion rate is clearly higher for patients who fully comply with the (48w) peg-IFN regimen than for patients who merely start the regimen. All told, I’ve seen the 5-10% range quoted by multiple sources.

To be clear the 31% is an end of treatment figure, not sustained rate off therapy.

Yes; however, the HBs seroconverion makes an off-therapy relapse considerably less likely than merely having undetectable HBsAg at the end of treatment.
