I really hope it doesn't close until early next year too - I have 2 months and change to go to realize long term cap gain on a large portion of my shares

The structure of the MYOV deal (one step merger requiring a vote and not a tender offer) makes it a near certainty the close will be after 2022. That it takes place during the holiday season clinches a 2023 close.
