Muddled, mixed-up and misguided idiots with guns are scary. Trump saying his supporters would "demand" a 2nd term, way back then, could very well be seen as more evidence of how long ago he starting planning his supporters Jan. 6 demand. That's what it was. A demand that Pence break federal electoral law by not certifying the vote. That's not debatable.
If the millions really do believe that one of Trump's big lies, that the election was stolen as polls say is the case, then in their minds they are, rather than willing to throw away democracy, trying to save democracy.

That so many millions are so susceptible to outright propaganda lies is the scary bit. You're right that they ignore the fact he stole documents and they ignore everything else about him that is the last they should ignore.
