The amount of time someone has been investing does not always correlate with the quality or correctness of the advice.

Thinly traded stocks often exaggerate market trends. Both up and down. Not always and not for every stock. Timing makes a big difference. You correctly assess that the decline in SPVNF's price is primarily a result of the overall market decline and geopolitical conditions creating supply chain disruptions. Rising interest rates driven by the federal reserves monetary policy are especially harsh on companies, such as SPVNF, that have a negative cash flow.

Its about deciding whether the stock is a good investment. And being fully cognitive of both the risks and the rewards. Great technology by itself is, or should be, just one of many factors taken into consideration when evaluating an investment. For me rising interest rates, combined with a negative cash flow are red flags.

I disagree with the statement below and like to see supporting links.

Insiders have bought literally millions of dollars in Spectra7 stock these past years,

Insiders buying convertible debentures is not the same as insiders buying in secondary offerings. This is especially true when the exercise price of the CD is substantially higher then the current stock price.
The following link shows insider buying/selling over the last year.

Note that Raouf sold 400K ten months ago. Does that mean he no longer believes?
