Yes, it was at Foxwoods. Nice venue, and pretty close to home.

I like a good bourbon. I wouldn't call myself an avid fan. I like Woodford Reserve if I'm feeling wealthy, but for my money, the eight year Jim Beam is as good as most of them.

Now check this out... Ron White has a tequila. (doesn't everyone?) and he's switched from scotch.

The problem with tequila is it's expensive as hell. Back in '01 we went to Tequila, the actual town in Jalisco where the drink originally comes from. They take an area about 10' x 10' to grow an agave cactus. It takes 9 years, from a seedling mind you, not a seed. And you get 5 or 6 liters from it. The guide told us that tequila was going to be the most expensive beverage in the world... a little hyperbolic, but it is expensive. Scarcity does account for the price. You get a decent whiskey for the price of a cheap tequila. Even the stuff with no age or finish still takes a long time to grow.

Anyway... stuff to do. Heading for Costa Rica in a few days.
