Glenn Greenwald's reply to Edwin Dorsey:
"Edwin- Your article about Rumble is full of false and offensive statements about me, which is what happens when you can't even be bothered to perform the most minimal journalistic function of asking for comment from the people about whom you're writing.
The reason I haven't postsed a video since June is the same reason I haven't worked at all during this period-- the same reason that I also haven't posted any new podcast shows to Callin or barely any new articles to Substack: because my husband has been hospitalized for the last 3 months in an ICU bed fighting a life threatening illness. To exploit our family's situation to imply that this represents some sort of failure on Rumble's part is reprehensible and I insist that you remove it or correct it. The most minimal research would have revealed this because it's been covered in numerous media outlets in the US and Brazil -- where my husband is an elected member of the national Congress-- and I've spoken about it often.
Moreover, I have previously discussed that we signed a new contract with Rumble to produce a new one-hour daily prime-time program that was supposed to launch on Sept 10 bu instead has been delayed due to my husband's health crisis. This new contract and show was reported in the Wall St. journal and many other places which -- again-- you would have discovered had you done even the most minimal research including asking me for comment about the false claims you intended to make about me and rumble.
Finally, you purposely omitted the number of views my videos on Rumble have received because, by itself, that data would have destroyed your entire false innuendo about rumble. For each video I've posted on Rumble since i moved there, I also posted an exact copy on YouTube. With maybe one of two exceptions, the videos on rumble have attracted a far larger audience than the audience on YouTube -- sometimes 4, 5 or6 times more.
The programs I've posted on Rumble -- despite only posting 1 or 2 videos a month -- have routinely attracted audiences larger than 200,000 or 300,000. Some have exceeded half-million. None of my YouTube videos has come close to that in my (admittedly sporadic) ten years on the platform (see attached).
I really don't care what war you want to wage on rumble. They're going to respond on their own and treat your article they way it deserves. But using my absence from work generally due to my husband's hospitalization in a the way you did is morally grotesque and reprehensible and i insist that you correct the false implications immediately.
Glenn Greenwald. "
