What makes you think they don't have data center orders? They have somewhere in the neighborhood of $20 million in orders, and $14 million of that was before Sony upped their numbers on PSVR2, so most of that $20 million is NOT VR, but data centers.
They are already selling to Tencent, with 100G deployments. Everyone else was slow to get on board with 100G, but now they are starting to deploy 100G, 200G, and 400G.
The orders are there, revenues are already showing up, with some having been delayed a bit due to supply constraints, but that is now nearly fully abated.
Credo even admitted that, with all their recent hype about their AEC's, they have not actually deployed ANY production cables yet.
It just took longer than anyone in the industry anticipated. But that is now changed.
Yes, data center sales are happening already and they will only increase from here.
