"Finally, insurance companies are helping curtail the practice, as they won't even insure homes in fire trap areas any more."

Not disagreeing with you, but why do those same insurance companies continue to insure homes built on coastal waters that are prone to hurricane, wind, and flooding damage.

And why do we continue to pay, via the Army Corps of Engineers, to have beaches rebuilt in residential areas?

I guess money talks.

Thank you. Most don't understand but I know you are in the trenches too. It just bit me in a way I never saw before and I didn't know how to react.

My word, brother I've never fired a gun at an enemy but you know I fight for humanity too.

I could never figure myself in a firestorm. Ever, and for that my gratitude goes a long way.

It has to be hard with all the protocols and such but, again I don't blame anyone.

One time there were 5 of us shore fishing around here and smoking doobies and shit. The lakeshore we were hanging out on caught on fire for reasons still undisclosed but it did.

3 guys ran for the hills and two of us jumped into the water and threw as much of it as we could on shore to put it out. It was the most scary thing I've ever seen and I've been to 20' bonfires.

In seconds that thing threatened the whole forest, or at least that's what I thought. Soaked from head to toe in the middle of November.

Chilly, but crisis adverted. Stupid kids do stupid shit, but we eventually grow up.

I just wish others would.
