"And who shall Israel negotiate with for a two state solution? Hamas?"

Negotiate what? You've taken all the land at this point. But yes, you negotiate with enemies.

But as I said, if the territories are yours, than you're holding 4.5 million people in bondage. If they aren't yours, then get out, and take your murdering thugs with you.

"And I still want to know what is the statue of limitations for colonial era crimes."

No one's asking Jewish people to answer for what Jewish adventurers did in the Caribbean, in South and Central America or Mexico. They were no more or less barbaric than any other Europeans, and the mores of the time tended toward brutality. No one's asking Jews to answer for the fortunes built on gold, silver and slaves from the 16th to the 19th centuries. You can just admit it and move on. That's history.

The West Bank is not history, nor is Gaza. It's the 21st century... and you're currently redrawing the map by force of arms, ethnically cleansing the land, and if it involves killing women and children, well it's not like they have any actual humanity, right?

But you're not defending brutality... because of course there is none. It's just that everyone who criticizes it is "anti-Semitic".

You need to be a part of the civilized world or not.

And I'll add this. You can bully and intimidate as many Americans as you want, but in the end, a boycott of Israel is actually our right under the Constitution, and government retaliation against it is not yours.

brooklyn13, This again is long, but how else to have you understand.

Ok, so you are critical of some Israel policies too. No one said you weren't. You do however also
instinctively/reactively say things which have nothing to do with the present conversations.

------
Whataboutism or whataboutery (as in "what about…?") denotes in a pejorative sense a procedure in which a critical question or argument is not answered or discussed, but retorted with a critical counter-question which expresses a counter-accusation. From a logical and argumentative point of view it is considered a variant of the tu-quoque pattern (Latin 'you too', term for a counter-accusation), which is a subtype of the ad-hominem argument.[1][2][3][4]
P - The communication intent here is often to distract from the content of a topic (red herring). The goal may also be to question the justification for criticism, the legitimacy, integrity, and fairness of the critic, which can take on the character of discrediting the criticism, which may or may not be justified. Common accusations include double standards, and hypocrisy.

------

That's what you are doing. Thing is it totally baseless for you to do it here. Totally unjustifed. Your whataboutism below is fairly
seen as a reactive defense of all things Israel. Whether you mean it or not, that's how it comes across to me. Most all of

"Again, I don't defend all things Israel, I have a lot of problems with what the government there does.
P - However, also again, they are considerably no worse than many other countries around the world. If this is apartheid, which it's not, what do you make of the Rohingya situation or the Uyghurs?
P - Or this, for that matter:
https://www.theguardian.com/australia-news/2019/mar/04/the-killing-times-the-massacres-of-aboriginal-people-australia-must-confront
P - My question stands, although we don't have to continue this: why is Israel being singled out for its treatment of a minority group?
P - The attitude around here seems to be that it's ok if the bad treatment of indigenous people around the world was like 100 years ago. (see also, Britain)
And I still want to know what is the statue of limitations for colonial era crimes.
P - I refer you to my previous post, peace.
P - And who shall Israel negotiate with for a two state solution? Hamas?

LOL except the peace bit which i agree with. This is just chat. Just you in the above are sounding an awful lot like conix used
to sound. She doesn't do it as much any more after being told more than a few times how wrongheaded she was being in that.

In your bringing in other countries weakness and misdeeds you look to be seeing Israel as a particular victim. As being treated unfairly. That in itself can fairl y be seen is an overall defense of Israel.

On top of that your charge of the board (or me, whatever, doesn't matter in the least) singling out Israel over other countries is totally unfounded. Search the board when you are able to. We have condemned China for their abuse of the Uyghurs easily as much as we have condemned Israel for being undemocratic and much like an apartheid state. Over years. Read the posts either side and around too.

And the same on Australian Aborigines. Others, as you there, and more I have posted many articles even more critical of Australia than your link above. Some of many below:

White guys in major cities pretty well have the major casino industry tied up. Guessing aborigines would have no special rights where it came to that. Don't forget too that virtually every hotel is a mini casino. There are many of them. In my local shopping area, now after three new ones have opened in the last couple of years, there are five hotels (establishments) with bars and poker machines in a three block area.
Reservations as such don't exist as they do in the US.

"

That comment of "the attitude around here" is totally baseless. It's a personal emotion of yours based on what?? On our chat about Israel, obviously. There is no statute of limitations in the mind of this board. Or in mine. What does that comment serve, other than more distracting/change the topic to whataboutisms. Again.

The peace bit, of course. Always with mostly reasonable people as you.

But seriously this - "And who shall Israel negotiate with for a two state solution? Hamas?" .
. i thought i had already said, something like - 'With whomever they have to. Who else.'

PEACE.
