I cannot actually believe anyone would risk voting in any election knowing that if you get caught you are going to have so much to deal with. The cost to defend yourself, the criminal charges, the possibility of jail time, for what to cast an extra vote.
It is absurd, do Americans occasionally make a mistake, sure, maybe they got a mail in ballot for an old address after they moved. I know I have moved almost five times in my life, just updating my driver's license was a chore in some states.
Registering to vote is just one more obstacle to overcome when you move, then finding your precinct can be another. I know here in Tennessee they keep changing your place to vote, then they keep moving the district lines.
I know when I lived in Florida, I use to watch many older residents have problems voting, why, because the republicans kept making it difficult. Republicans never want to help anyone to vote, I can never understand why any political party would actively push Americans away from voting.
