The vid at the bottom of your link was good clean fun, that is not the way to open a pomegranate... slice it in half across the girth... find a wooden spoon or small rolling pin... hold the fruit over a bowl in the sink and start tap-tap-tapping all around skin side of the fruit...cupping it in one hand, tapping with other...all the seeds start flying out...once you've done it this way...takes 2-3min...you'll never go back!
