Dave, How does the site benefit from the new - much worse - extra click needed now to make a post. The options of public, private, or new were in full view and easy to see before. Now you have it so that i don't see those options until clicking on that ornamented and now relatively ugly place.
And why all those unneeded little arrows??? Aren't they just unnecessary space taken up???
Then the edit notice. Seriously, how is that an improvement. It's like the ugly billboards over highways. Seriously, i just don't understand WHY???
One of the reasons this site attracted me some 16 years ago was it's simplicity. It wouldn't bee nearly as attractive now.
Seriously, i've seen you are making the site more attractive to mobiles. Is that the reason for these changes. I'd really like to know because every recent change seems to me to make it less user friendly.

Correction another on clicking submit post for this one so make that two for two today.
AND have just noticed the line between the new post content and the signature is virtually invisible. Not one of your changes makes any sense to me, but there must be good reason for them.
I'd really appreciate knowing at least some of that good reason.
If it doesn't exist the recent changes i've just experienced and mentioned above are nuts.
