Right about the gop and I agree with you that the industry has cleaned up quite a bit.

I'm not familiar with some of your bets, but each-way sounds like our 'box'.
Where the order doesn't matter as long as your three picks finish. But it's been almost two decades since I've been at a track, so not so sure any more.

I go way back with horses as I had an uncle who was race commissioner for a major harness raceway as well as a politician in that city at the same time. Hmmm, maybe not a good mix and I can't honestly say he wasn't dirty. Can't say he was either. But it was good times for my cousin and me hanging behind the scenes anytime we wanted. Plus we we're both hot for a couple of real cute warmers. I think I only scored on my bets, but I think he scored in the saddle. Bastard.

I learned some handicapping, but I don't have a strong math mind, but I do have good observational skills and learned from trainers and jockeys how to read the horses themselves, thorough's and harness. A horse is a horse and one can read the physical condition of that day pre race and also know the doping going on helps too. I also subscibed to 'pace is the race' methods and stuff. I did better than average when I spent my times there back then. It's still fun to think about it, but I'm watching tracks closing down all over the place in the last decade.
