What you listed were trends that carried over from Obama's 2nd term. What you omitted, what Trumpanzees always try to overlook, is that Trump slammed the door on those trends with his criminally inept response to Covid.

'Downplaying' it was not an effective strategy but rather a pathetic, failed, attempt to evade responsibility in order to secure a 2nd term. He blew it and ended up with the worst job creation record of any U.S. president, no 2nd term and likely an indictment or two for seditious conspiracy and defrauding the U.S.
