#896 RE: bigworld #895

Bigworld, Kunstler's articles are always interesting, but I notice they often have a 'limited hangout / gatekeeper' quality that is consistent and undeniable. He accurately and eloquently lists the symptoms of our problems, but then dodges and diverts when it comes to identifying the source of the disease. The 'blame China' explanation is a common narrative used by paid Alt gatekeepers of the Deep State to divert blame away from the true culprits - the finance oligarchy. Kunstler also 'takes the 5th' when it comes to 9-11, and uses some Q-Anon techniques ('indictments are coming', Civil War 2, etc). I enjoy reading Kunstler, but when it comes to the Alt media one has to assume there is a significant 'paid gatekeeper' component to it -- Infowars, Joe Rogan, Limbaugh, Zero Hedge, etc. The Alt Left has a similar phenomenon (paid gatekeepers). It's still interesting to read, but the the basic MO is to put out mainly good info to gain credibility among of the target audience, and then at critical junctures that audience is led down the wrong direction, an ineffectual dead end, etc. The Right blames the Left, the Left the Right, or both blame China, etc. Meanwhile the finance oligarch ghouls sail on unopposed.

>>> If not the sinister Schwabenklaus, then, who or what entity is behind this world-ending mischief remains a matter of baffling consternation? Quite a few people, otherwise not insane, say we’re in thrall to some hovering alien presence not-of-this-Earth somehow directing our own destruction. Personally, I find that a bit silly. The most persuasive real-world clues point to China’s Communist Party (the CCP). Where did the “Wuhan Flu” (Sars C-19) emanate from? (Trick question.) At whose 2019 Wuhan World Military Games did the first outbreak occur? (Ditto.) Whose policy model was adopted in the US and Euroland for dealing with that punk-ass virus with lockdowns? Which current President of the USA has been on the payroll of the CCP for nearly a decade via shady business deals grifted up by his son? Hmmmm.

Bigworld, Looks like a buyer's market in real estate could be developing, so this Fall/Winter may be an opportune time for house hunting in NC :o)

>>> "Redfin tumbles after saying housing deals falling through at the fastest rate in 2 years"

"Shares of Redfin Corp. RDFN, -8.84% tumbled 9.6% in morning trading Monday, after the online real estate services company said that housing market deals are falling through at the fastest clip in two years, as home buyers are using a slowing market to try to renegotiate.

In addition, buyers are backing out because higher mortgage rates mean they can no longer afford the home they agreed to buy. The company said roughly 60,000 home-purchase agreements across the country in June, or 14.9% of homes that went under contract, fell through. That's the highest percentage since March and April 2020, at the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. "The slowdown in housing-market competition is giving homebuyers room to negotiate, which is one reason more of them are backing out of deals," said Redfin Chief Economist Taylor Marr. "Buyers are increasingly keeping rather than waiving inspection and appraisal contingencies. That gives them the flexibility to call the deal off if issues arise during the homebuying process." Redfin's stock has tumbled 77.6% year to date, while the S&P 500 SPX, -1.06% has shed 19.0%."
